Austin Black Senators Austin's only professional sports team in the 1920s and 1930s, it's roster included Austin native (and future Baseball Hall of Fame inductee) Willie Wells, considered by many who saw him as one of the best shortstops to ever play. The Senators featured a 31-year-old Dominican pitcher named Chi-Chi Olivo, a longtime fixture of the Caribbean winter leagues. Olivo's 79 career wins in the Dominican League rank him second all time, behind only his brother, Diomedes, who had 86 career wins.
