Ebbets Field Flannels Detroit Stars 1920 Home Jersey

History:  Detroit fielded a team in the first official Black baseball league, the Negro National League of 1920. Serving as manager for the first few seasons of Stars was Pete Hill, who also played in the outfield. One of the greatest players in the early history of Black baseball, Hill was finally inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame in 2006.

The team name was revived in the 1950's, the waning post-integration days of the Negro Leagues.
